  • Mike ReynoldsGeneral Manager

Mike got his start in the automotive business pumping gas in high school, worked his way up to a certified automotive technician at Ford and Chevrolet dealerships, and eventually became a service manager. After 35 years in the business, Mike still comes to work every morning feeling excited about the day. “What I love about working at an auto repair shop is the ability to help people,” says Mike. “Nothing makes me happier than the chance to turn someone’s bad day into a good day.” In his free time, Mike enjoys boating, fishing, and spending time with his wife Christina and their son Brenden.

  • Mel AczonAssistant Manager / Automotive Technician

Mel has been an automotive technician since 1991 and worked for AA Auto since 2009. He is the Assistant Manager as well as an ASE-Certified Technician. Mel, a native of Hawaii, took advantage of a Ford program that offered training and education to students interested in automobile repair. Though he is grateful to the Ford program that trained and employed him for some time, Mel prefers the variety he sees at AA Auto. “The concept is the same for any car, to approach, diagnose, and repair. But to work on many different makes and models is exciting for me,” he said. Mel said he knew in high school that this was the type of work he wanted to do. He told his dad exactly what he wanted to do and he followed through in community college and at a Hawaiian Ford dealership. Mel moved for his wife and said he loves living and working in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Scott BurgessSenior Master Technician

Technician Scott says his job is to do “anything I can to fix a car!” He performs tune-ups, general maintenance, fixes brakes, and anything else the customer can throw at him. Scott has worked in the field for more than 38 years, following his education at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. “I was always told I had a knack for it,” he says and he didn’t look back once he got into the business. Born and raised in Woodinville, Scott says the auto repair business has been good to him and he tries to put his enthusiasm for the trade into every repair that comes through AA Auto.

  • Dmitri VelcevEuro Master Technician

Dmitri is a master technician on European cars. Growing up in the Republic of Moldova, Dmitri faced an environment where there were no automotive replacement parts in the former Soviet Union. Whenever an auto part broke, Dmitri would need to rebuild the part. It was a very different approach than the one typically taken in the United States where slightly broken parts were thrown away and brand new replacement parts were put in. This experience gave Dmitri an in-depth understanding of how everything in an automobile worked – perhaps more than the typical technician who only knows how to swap out the broken part with a brand new part. Dmitri fell in love with cars from a young age, and has been fixing cars since 1996. He is a BMW Master Certified Technician and holds the MACS Certification. In his free time, Dmitri enjoys building custom cars.

In his spare time, he loves making cars work.
